EA / Product Manager (Africa) – Remote Opportunity

Overview

A growing startup is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant (EA) / Product Manager to support executive operations while helping drive product development and business initiatives from concept to launch.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in executive support, project coordination, operations management, or product management who enjoy working in fast-paced startup environments. Successful candidates will work closely with founders, developers, designers, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain on track and business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

As the EA / Product Manager, you will:

  • Manage executive calendars, emails, priorities, and daily workflows.
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, deadlines, and blockers.
  • Coordinate software development projects from planning through launch.
  • Convert business requirements into clear tasks, tickets, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead project check-ins and maintain detailed meeting notes.
  • Review completed development work and identify bugs, missing requirements, or usability issues.
  • Gather and organize customer and stakeholder feedback.
  • Maintain project management systems and workflow boards.
  • Create documentation, SOPs, project briefs, and operational processes.
  • Follow up with team members to ensure timely project completion.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Product management experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Experience supporting founders, executives, or leadership teams.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as ClickUp, Asana, Trello, Jira, Linear, or Notion.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and project follow-through.
  • Availability to work during EST business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will have an advantage:

  • Startup or software company experience.
  • Agency or technology-enabled business background.
  • Familiarity with Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, Loom, and Notion.
  • Experience working with remote and distributed teams.
